Planefarer - First Release!

Welcome, everyone! This is the first release of an in-development game trying to combine the best of Terraria, Starbound, Outer Wilds, and Hollow Knight. Take a look at screenshots and the game page, and if it interests you, give it a try; feedback always appreciated. Be warned that this is an extreme early access release! There is much to be done.
This release includes half a year of work and over a thousand individual changes; this is now in a state where I want to make it public. I'm planning to do much more frequent updates in the future, although that's going to mostly consist of minor polish until I have more content ready.
Major Changes
- Plot! There are now objectives and things to do, as well as an entire new world. Can you reach the end of the current game? Give it a try!
- Placeable items like furniture, light sources, and doors.
- An associate who will join your town and request things in return for information.
- Loot no longer teleports into your inventory, instead dropping and gravitating towards you.
- Added placeholder art for characters.
- Foliage and small plants now grow over the world.
- Major UI and input revamp, getting closer to something usable. Right now, keyboard/mouse the only way to play; gamepad support will be added.
- Better and more consistent collision and character physics.
- Save/load functionality. I'm not currently guaranteeing backwards compatibility; the game is under enough flux that it would be hard for it to work sensibly.
- Also, a main menu!
- A very basic initial tutorial.
- Redesign of rendering pathways for improved performance and fancy future features.
- A vast amount of debug tooling and functionality, which you don't care about, but I sure do.
I'm not including notes on minor fixes and tweaks; frankly, most of the fixes are fixes in the major changes listed above.
